Psalm 32:8-9

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.

God is willing to show us the right way and give us advice if we are open to it and choose to follow His guidance willingly.

Father’s Comments

This verse from the Book of Psalms is saying that God is like a patient and loving teacher. He is ready to offer us guidance and advice about the best way to live our lives. He does this without using force or pressure. Instead, His guidance is like a gentle, helping hand.

However, we must be open and willing to listen and follow His advice. In other words, God doesn’t force us to do anything, He waits for us to choose the right path voluntarily.

Comparing us to horses and mules in the verse is a way to say that we shouldn’t be stubborn and resistant when it comes to listening to God’s guidance. We shouldn’t need to be pushed or controlled like these animals. Instead, we should strive to be like attentive students who are open to learning and who willingly follow the right path. It’s an encouragement for us to be open to God’s teachings and willingly follow His path towards a better, more righteous life.

This verse encourages us to reflect on our relationship with God. Are we willing to listen to His advice, or do we resist and need a strong persuasion? It serves as a reminder to welcome the gentle wisdom He provides and go for the path of righteousness and understanding. It’s telling us that our spiritual journey is about making our own choices, being open to God, and having a loving relationship where both sides give and receive.

Psalm 32:8-9 This verse says: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with my eye. This verse seems so simple but it is hard to follow sometimes.

I drew the eye picture as an i, not the letter i. Then you see the picture of a hand holding a ruler pointing to a whiteboard. I drew this piece like that because it is like instructions further down you see tools art tools that this demonstrates teaching so when you generally teach someone something you use work tools such as hammer wrench or wood. The same goes for tools you use for art stuff at the near bottom there is a picture of a road with a yellow arrow that indicates the way God wants us to go with the point with the arrow pointing straight. So keep going I put a small piercing to kind of represent me haha and I thought it was cute. Lastly, there is another eye with a happy sunflower girl going in the direction the arrow is pointing which is God guiding me with his eye.
